Saving Private Ryan & Lara Croft Tomb Raider
Saving Private Ryan is a war film and it consists of a lot of death and gruesome violence. For example, in this scene, we see a close up of a German soldier get shot in the eye. Death like this makes the film, as well as this scene, more intense and exciting to watch. Also death is a key connotation in Action/Adventure films any way. Its set in a destructed town where bits of rubble and rock are scattered across the area.
Lara Croft (Tomb Raider 2) shows more adventure in this particular film. Its set in an underground temple which massive statues and ancient greek pillars. Treasure is shown helping make this place look very mysterious, incredible and amazing. The shows the characters must be on some quest as treasure etc are shown. The scene does consist of a Good VS Bad scenario as the hero is ambushed and outnumbered by the villains. We see the expendables die in this scene showing the action element in this film as well.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
In terms of costume, i think Lord of the Rings was best in this area because there is a clear distinguish between the heroes and the baddies. In this scene, the baddie (the black Rider) is wearing all black; black usually symbolises darkness and evil. Whereas the heroes (the hobbits) are wearing more brighter colours |

World War Z
The camera work in World War Z helps place the film in the Action/Adventure genre. For example, in the New York scene. whip panning's are used a lot between the characters and the action. This creates a sense of panic amongst the characters which helps builds tension and excitement for the audience watching. Low angle shots are used in this scene to help build tension as well. For example in the car, this shot shows the children and presents to the audience how vulnerable they are to their surroundings, as well as how scared and frightened they are to what is happening around them. Later on in this scene the camera is placed on the ground showing a close up of the transformation of one of the zombies. This helps the audience understand what is going on and also how quick this change was able to occur. A zoom is then used, from the eyes of the newly formed zombie, and backs away quickly showing fully the transformation of this person. This is really effective as it helps the audience understand that he is now inhuman and is a threat of danger., and it can also create fear as it shows how scary looking these creatures are.
